Geenhouse

I walk into my greenhouse on a cold morning
and am greeted by the smell of tomato plants
among other wonderful smells and sights.

Music

Music

For my Paul who is on the road--
"Music is a moral law.
It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm
and gaiety to life and to everything."

A Favorite Jackson Photo

A Favorite Jackson Photo

William Henry Jackson's photos always bring me to the exact time in space.
I like to think of his vision as my personal time machine.

This is one that captures me each and every time I visit it.
Point of Rocks on the Beaverhead River, 1871.
I can hear horses crossing on the plank bridge.

Research

Research

I am in the depths of researching the life and projects of
Richard Kletting, the architect of the Utah State Capitol building.

Here are a few of the wonderful buildings he has designed.
You can see this display at the Capitol.

Utah State Capitol

Many articles celebrate the beauty of the Utah State Capitol
This undated newspaper clipping from the Utah State Historical Society
is one of my favorites.
