My brother Tom and I visited with Bailey this afternoon.

This is the last blog photo of Bailey.

I am on my way back to Utah and am giving the care of

Bailey back to her owners.

Today we walked Bailey with Mack.

They seemed to want to spend time together.

Bailey's Fine Desert Day

It was a perfect desert day today, hot and dry.

Bailey thought so too. She was happy and fat as could be,

on this her 125th day of her pregnancy.

Bailey on her 124 Day of Pregnancy

Bailey just wanted her own way today.

After two days of light exercise because of wet ground, 

Bailey also wanted no hard work today. 

She showed us a  most stubborn attitude.

But we sang to her and her baby inside.

We brushed her extra and gave her lots of attention.

Mack also had extra attention because he let us know

that Bailey in no more special than he is.

But he knows we know.

I had a good ride with him in spite of his jealousy.

Lazy Bailey Days

Today Bailey had a day off.
It was so wet after the rain last night,

walking her in the arena was not possible.
She also got to by-pass the walker

because of standing water.

What a lucky horse on her day off.

Morning Exercise in the Arena

My sister plays a vintage Deagan marimba. In May of 2010 she had it tuned by Master marimba tuner Gilberto Serna. Here is a little video from when we dropped it off and then came back a week later to pick it up. Just click on the words Deagan Marimba above.

River Delights

Active in the Water

While yesterday the river was quiet, today the wild life was raring to go. The swallows were most entertaining in flight. I saw my usual raft of Mallard ducks making their way up river, and I like to think they were coming to see me personally.

The river is still low but the regular beaver that I like to observe was not having a problem at all. I did not have my camera today but this footage from a year ago was exactly where I watched him this morning. So here it is:

The river was running low this morning.
Not much action. I only saw a muskrat, no ducks, no geese, no fish.
