The Stolen Valley

 The Stolen Valley

I have a short scene in this movie
as a patron in a bar that is having
an open mic night on Taco Tuesday.
I took a quick shot of what I looked like
in that scene.

The movie is well worth seeing as it comes
to theatres near you.
Here is a link, try it today, leap day.

Robert and Elizabeth Love.
They lived in Fredericktown, Ohio.
The dates of the book are 1880 to the 1890s.
Josie died in 1895 following a short illness.
She never married.

21 February 1902 Selection From Margaret Sellers' Friendship Book

 21 February 1902

This selection is likely entered by Bertha Sellers,
Madge's immediate older sister.

The verse was written in dialect
by Paul Laurence Dunbar.
Dunbar also wrote in Mid-west, James Whitcomb Riley (Hoosier) dialect,
and conversational English.

Here's a nice site, from the Poetry Foundation,
to learn more about Dunbar.

The Trial of Ayn Rand by William Missouri Downs

Ayn Rand rehearsal process:
I am working on the end speech of Downs' script. The ideas the script writer includes are Rand's philosophy from Individual Rights.

"Since Man has inalienable individual rights, this means that the same rights are held, individually, by every man, by all men, at all times. Therefore, the rights of one man cannot and must not violate the rights of another.

For instance: a man has the right to live, but he has no right to take the life of another. He has the right to be free, but no right to enslave another. He has the right to choose his own happiness, but no right to decide that his happiness lies in the misery (or murder or robbery or enslavement) of another. The very right upon which he acts defines the same right of another man, and serves as a guide to tell him what he may or may not do."

Tickets for "The Trial of Ayn Rand"
