Construction on the 200 South Bridge
The 200 South Bridge in Salt Lake City now has a understructure spanning the Jordan River.
Second South Bridge
I live in the Poplar Grove Neighborhood in Salt Lake City.
We are undergoing major street construction.
Several bridges of the Jordan River are being replaced this year.
The Second South bridge is one.
[Pia Okwai is the Shosone name for the Jordan River.]
The first bridge was constructed sometime in the 1890s.
Lake Breeze neighbors wanted it repaired as early as 1899.

Annie Chapman
Salt Lake City's First Librarian
March is upon us.
This is Women's History Month.
I'm sharing the story of Annie Chapman.
She contributed her skill and devotion to Salt Lake City's Library.
One of two known photos of Annie.
She is seated at the table in the right side.
This is my tribute to her.
