I'm sure it is one of my grandmother's creations.
It's one of my favorites.

I believe someone in my family made her.
I had very artistic great aunts and my grandmother, of course,

was fabulous at animal figures.

I think I'll name her Spirit.

Tidbit from Cleaning the Office

Sometimes you find a long lost note that brings

you back to why you chose your profession.

While cleaning up my office (which hasn't been done in an awful long time)

I found a few words of encouragement.

Betty (Elizabeth) Stivers

I just love it when I come across a gem in the family files.

Here's an article featuring my Aunt Betty.

She was a high school student at Riverside High in Milwaukee in the 1920s.

I also attended Riverside for two years, but not until the 1970s.

The normal school is Milwaukee Downer College which my mother attended.

I just try to imaging her as this farmerette.

It reminds me of the Montana I love.

The feeling of peace comes over me when I gaze on it.

Utah Arts Festival at the art gallery in

Artspace City Center, 230 South 500 West, Salt Lake City.
