Leaf in the Wind

Leaf in the Wind

I watched a leaf swirl and twirl and dance with the wind.
Up and around and up again.
Not wanting to reach the ground it explored the sides of my green shed.
On to the roof around the branches of a tree, my leaf danced and flew.
Then it was ready. It floated to join the splash of color already on the green grass.

Autumn Tomato Plants

My tomatoes were planted on the first day of Autumn.
Today I staked my tomato plants with tomato trees.
The plants smell so good already.
I can't wait until they flower.

Here's another chance to see Mundane Margery.
Come to Brewvies tonight in Salt Lake City.

Many are in peril.

Many are in peril today.
My morning lied about it.
The sunrise contrails sported sun rays that reached all the way to the full moon setting.
Trees that one week ago glowed in golden leaves now are bare and full of bird song.
Warm air fed my walk and I felt good.
Many are in peril.

Mother Earth

Yes it's coming. The Rain. The cool air.
But Mother Earth has decided to delight me.
Late bloomers--flax, this morning, red rose this evening.
And of course morning glories hanging in there.
Thanks.

Crickets

The Crickets have returned tonight.
Thanks for the new song.
I missed you last night.
I know it was cold but your song soothes.
Stay just a few more nights to delight my ears.
